We offer a programme of activities and trips for older people and families in Holbeck on a weekly basis.

Activities at Holbeck Together
Our usual activities include the following:
Over 55’s –
- Friendship Group: Once a week on a Tuesday we host our Friendship Club which provides an opportunity to come along and meet with friends old and new and socialise. Over 55’s only.
- Craft Group: The craft group provides a regular opportunity to be creative and learn new skills whilst making new friends through the sharing of different ideas and craft techniques.
- Bingo Afternoons: Once a week on Friday afternoon, after fish and chips at St Matthews Community Centre.
Children and families –
- Parents and Tots play sessions: Mondays from 9:30am, St Matthews Community Centre. (Term time only) We offer a stay & play session for parents to read/colour/play with their children in a safe, welcoming environment.
- Healthy Holidays: Sessions hosted at Lane End Primary School during school holidays. Full-day sessions of sports, activities and home-cooked food for your children, provided by Premier Education.
Group Outings
Our Group Outings are for everyone in Holbeck, and we make sure they’re affordable for everyone. If you need any extra support to access our Group Outings, get in touch to discuss how we can help.
- Meal Outings: Holbeck Together provides outings to various pubs and restaurants in Yorkshire.
- Cinema Outings: We sometimes take trips to the cinema to view the latest releases. This group provides the opportunity for older people to be supported to see the latest films.
- Roy’s Mystery Tour: A fun day out to a surprise location! Monthly (Saturdays)
- Further afield: Throughout the year Holbeck Together provides access to a variety of leisure destinations across the North of England. Outings include visits to the seaside town of Whitby, seeing the animals of Knowsley Safari Park and a relaxing walk around Golden Acre Park.
