United Together

30th March 2020

Times are tough right now and it’s amazing to see so many people pulling together to look after friends and neighbours as well as those we don’t know well.

At Holbeck Together we’ve experienced a huge increase in the number of people who need extra support since the outbreak of Covid-19. Here in Holbeck, in the shadow of Elland Road, we’re responding to the crisis by delivering support and advice, befriending services, at-home activities, hot meals, shopping and essential items.

It has been a phenomenal team effort and the outpouring of support from members of the community, from local organisations and local businesses has been incredible.

But as more people turn to us for support, we’re asking for help.

We are partnering with Leeds United to appeal to raise precious funds to help pay for more food, support and essentials.

If everyone could give just a pound each, we’ll quickly have enough to help everyone through this tough period.

Imagine if we filled Elland Road and everyone gave a pound each, we’d have £37,890 to put towards this local, community effort.

Join us and make your contribution here.

We are facing an unprecedented crisis and the number of requests for our services continues to rise. To ensure that we operate safely in these critical times we are adapting our services to support new social distancing guidelines. This means we need extra support in terms of volunteers, man-power and funds to deliver critical services for the most vulnerable people living in Leeds. We’ve had fantastic support so far from local people, but as this crisis continues we need as many hands on deck as possible. We hope our small ask of just £1 sits comfortably with people and that we can raise as much money as possible to support those most in need at this time.
